Over the weekend there were two car accidents on the Eyre Peninsula with one seeing a fatality on the Eyre Highway.
In Port Lincoln on Friday evening, a vehicle slid off the road and down into an embankment at an intersection at Marine Avenue causing extensive damage to the vehicle.
An 81-year-old woman was taken to the Port Lincoln Hospital for a check-up and the car was towed away.
On Saturday afternoon emergency services were called to the Eyre Highway at Coorabie after a truck collided with a tree.
The Truck driver was taken to the Ceduna Hospital for minor injuries however, the passenger, a 27-year-old man from WA died at the scene.
Police yesterday arrested the 58-year-old driver and charged him with cause death by dangerous driving.
The state road toll is now at 74 compared to 43 last year.
