The famous Wotif have launched the latest countrywide initiative, the Festival of Wot? Celebrating Australia’s unique quirks and the Eyre Peninsula residents are being encouraged to tell Wotif about their cool location.

The initiative aims to shine a light on domestic tourism and is in search to find towns, cities and suburbs that have something they’d like to be famous for.

Wotif will gift the deserving location with a new festival in honour of celebrating their unique claim to fame.

Locals are encouraged to apply and tell Wotif some great stories about some of the characteristic places here on the EP.

Wotif will work with the winning destination to create an experience that locals love and is worth travelling for.

Tourism Development Manager Sondra Stewart from Regional Development Whyalla and Eyre Peninsula says the EP has so much potential for the initiative with so many locations worthy.

“The little towns have some really unique features that perhaps we wouldn’t normally think of, so it would be great to put some spotlight on those locations.” Said Sondra.
