Streaky Bay Drink Driver Targeted in Operation High Impact F5

Eyre and Western Police are continuing to target drivers under Operation High Impact F5 with Streaky Bay Police detecting a driver this week who was twice the legal alcohol limit.

On Tuesday a car was stopped by Streaky Bay police and returned a blood alcohol reading of 0.095.

The 43-year-old local man was issued a six month instant loss of licence and had his vehicle impounded for 28 days.

Operation High Impact F5 targets all of the Fatal 5 offences of drink and drug driving, speeding, distraction, seat belts and dangerous road users.

The statewide operation aims to reinforce the message that any person using South Australian roads must be totally accountable and responsible for their behaviours when putting other lives at risk.
