Approximately 200 cyclists will tour the Eastern and Lower Eyre Peninsula from the September 21 – 29 for the Bicycle SA’s Annual Tour cycle event.
The 2019 event has seen a strong interest with cyclists from 17- 82 years of age traveling from all over Australia set to participate in this year’s ride.
Bicycle SA will provide an excellent opportunity to showcase the Eyre Peninsula to interstate visitors.
The ride will begin in Cowell, ride through Cleve, lock, Cummins, Tumby Bay, Coffin Bay and through to Port Lincoln.
With the support of local councils, cyclists will see daily opportunities to sample local produce and take in the beautiful and varied landscapes and attractions of the region.
Riders will also have the opportunity to visit Coffin Bay National Park and indulge in Coffin Bay oysters on their scheduled rest day.
Christian Haag, CEO of Bicycle SA says “Cycle tourism is a major driver of regional development in the state and events like this can leverage the investment made by the state in the Tour Down Under,”
