Locals Urged to Support Vulnerable Children for National Foster and Kinship Care Week

SA Dep Child Protection Week

The Liberal Government is sending thanks to the hard-working foster and Kindship carers in light of 2019 National Foster and Kinship Care Week.

Minister for Child Protection Rachel Sanderson said she wanted to take the opportunity to thank each and every foster and kinship carer across the state who open their hearts and homes to our most vulnerable children.

Family-based care gives young people a sense of family and this form of care has the best outcomes for our most vulnerable children.

Minister Sanderson says the state government will continue to increase the number of children and young people living in safe, stable, secure and loving homes.

The Eyre Peninsula is currently in high demand of foster carers, with locals encouraged to help vulnerable child in our community by becoming a carer.
