On Friday afternoon a 40-year-old woman was robbed of her purse by a teenage girl whilst walking along a street in Port Lincoln.
Just after 4.30 pm on Friday, a woman was walking along Sellen Street, when she was approached by a teenage girl who asked if she could call a taxi.
As the woman was using her phone to help the girl, the teenage suspect attempted to snatch the phone from her hand and grabbed the woman's purse.
After a short scrap, the suspect ran off with the purse towards Cronin Avenue.
As a result, the victim suffered minor injuries to her shoulder, hands and knees.
Port Lincoln police searched the area including door knocking, however, the suspect wasn’t located.
The suspect is described as a teenage girl of aboriginal appearance aged about 14-16 years old, a slim to medium build, with black shoulder-length hair and wearing green clothing wasn't located.
