Youths Cause Violent Chaos At McDonald Port Lincoln


Police are investigating a disturbance at Port Lincoln McDonalds over the weekend.

About 6.30 pm on Saturday 5 October, police were called to the fast-food restaurant on Liverpool Street after receiving reports a group of youths were damaging property and had assaulted two staff members.

Injuries to the staff were minor and didn't require medical treatment.

Police located the group in the restaurant and arrested two girls. Two boys ran off when police arrived but were located a short time later and arrested.

A 10-year-old boy, an 11-year-old boy, a 13-year-old girl and a 14-year-old girl, all from Port Lincoln, were charged with aggravated assault, property damage and violent disorder.

The two boys were given bail to appear in the Port Lincoln Youth Court on November.

 The two girls were refused bail and will appear in court today.
