The Lower Eyre District Council will be meeting with local communities throughout the district this week to discuss the results from the survey they put out earlier this year in regards to the Strategic Plan.
The key document outlines the annual budget and financial priorities for the district.
The council is now looking for further feedback from the community at the meetings.
Three meetings will be held this week starting tonight at The Port Lincoln Golf Club at 7:30 pm, Wednesday 16th at the Cummins Council Chamber at 7:30 pm and Thursday 17th at the Coffin Bay Yacht Club also at 7:30 pm.
Following the community meetings, the council will develop a Draft Strategic Plan that will be released for further public consultation.
Mayor Jo-Anne Quigley says they will be discussing the information from the survey that was sent out to ratepayers along with hearing more ideas from community members and what they would like to see.
“The night will then be undertaken by ideas from the community, what they’d like to see happen in the council district over the next 10 years and let us know what’s important to them in their specific area of the council district.” Said Quigley
Any community members who are unable to make the meeting or missed their opportunity through the survey can email the LEDC with any ideas they would like to put forth within their community.
