Whyalla residents are getting excited over whispers about a potentially large tourist development for the Steel City.
There have been reports in the Whyalla News that a $100 million, nine-storey resort will be making its way to the Whyalla Foreshore, complete with what has been described as Australia's largest blue water lagoon.
Thrive Construct are believed to be behind the project, with the company hosting an impressive resume of major projects including the construction of the hugely popular shopping hub Melbourne Central.
While there has been no official confirmation of such a project, contacts reached for comment have suggested there may be an official announcement over the coming months.
