South Australia’s new planning system for rural areas will launch today, allowing development applications to be submitted and tracked online for the first time via a new ePlanning platform.
Development applications for outback areas of South Australia, where the new planning system came into operation last year, will now also be managed online via the ePlanning platform.
The platform will bring together the new PlanSA Portal, the online Planning and Design Code, the South Australian Property and Planning Atlas and the electronic Development Application Processing system.
The new planning system will deliver clear and consistent planning policies across outback and rural Eyre Peninsula that are easily accessible and widely available.
The final phase of the new planning system will be implemented later this year and includes metropolitan areas, and some regional councils with large towns.
