Burnouts and Drink Drivers

Ceduna police have reported a 20-year-old following reports of a Toyota doing burnouts.

On Friday evening patrols arrived at a park that saw a large amount of dust in the air, then saw the Toyota exiting the park.

Police found the car nearby with a flat tyre, the 20-year-old driver had his car impounded for 28 days, and was reported for misuse of a motor vehicle.

Later that evening Police stopped a 26-year-old local woman for a roadside breath test, which returned a positive reading of 0.127,  further checks revealed she did not have a driver's license.

Her car was impounded and both drivers will appear in court at a later date.

Whyalla Police stopped a 28-year-old local man on McDouall Stuart Avenue just before 3am on Sunday. He allegedly returned a positive result of 0.168, with further checks revealing the car as unregistered.

The man was reported for drink driving and driving unregistered and lost his licence on the spot for 12 months. His car was impounded for 28 days and he will be summonsed to attend court at a later date.
