It’s been reported just hours after the search for the two missing men was called off, one of the men has made contact and the two are alive and well.
Yesterday was day four of the search for Tony Higgins and Derek Robinson, 57 and 48 who left Coffin Bay last Thursday in a 30-foot wooden-hulled fishing boat bound for Goolwa.
As hope faded for their survival, police suspended the search last night.
Police Spokes Person says police are headed out to assist the men.
“Police can confirm they have made contact with the men on board the boat missing in waters south of Port Lincoln."
“Police worked with other rescue services overnight to determine the exact location of the boat, Water Operations Unit has headed out to the southeast coast to assist the men. "
