A new campaign is being launched to encourage local organisations to take action on mental health hazards just as they would physical risks in the workplace.

The Mind Your Head Campaign comes amid concerns around the impact of isolated work during COVID-19, increased job demands and reports of violence.

ACTU Assistant Secretary, Liam O'Brien, says investing in workplace mental health has proven welfare and productivity benefits.

“Poor workplace mental health is the fastest growing health and safety issue in our regions and we need to do a lot to quickly stem these increases that's why we’re launching the mind your head campaign to encourage action on workplace mental health and respond to the increasing rates mental health injuries in our local workplaces.” Said Liam.
