Qld boy on attempted murder charges

A 14-year-old boy is facing attempted murder charges over a knife attack on two younger pupils at a Queensland school.

The boy is accused of stabbing a 12-year-old boy in the abdomen, and leaving another boy, aged 13, with minor injuries to his hand.

The February 6 attack happened at a school at Rosewood near Ipswich, west of Brisbane. Both boys were taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

The alleged attacker was arrested in a nearby street shortly after the stabbings.

He has now been charged with two counts of attempted murder, and one count of possessing a knife at school.
