Meat-Free, plant-based Four ’N Twenty Pies are about to hit our shelves and we're not too sure how to feel about it.
The announcement was made by iconic pie-making company Four’N Twenty on its Instagram page earlier this week and it has certainly divided the nation.
The pastry will remain the same with the filling having that ‘meat-free’ twist. All we know so far is that the filing has been produced to have the same look, smell, and texture of meat.
Business Insider is reporting that the new pie’s filling will be a “soy-based plant protein mince, which combines will all the ingredients you’d expect” in a meatless pie.
The new “Meat-Free” pie will be available at supermarkets and service stations from March.
