It's that time of year again, where people from all over the state flock to the Eyre Peninsula to watch the best of the best show off their football skills at Centenery Oval in Port Lincoln. The Bendigo Bank Mortlock Shield is widely regarded as the longest continuous running football carnival in Australia.
The carnival, played over the Saturday and the Monday will allow each team to play two matches (one on each day).

Players to watch:
Dom Denton (Capt) - Big, strong key position player, hard at the ball and rarely beaten.
Jarrad Trowbridge - Experienced association level midfielder. Expected to play a big part.
Jake Warmington - Former Don McSweeney medal winner (best u/21), small midfielder with excellent skills.
Kingsley Bilney Jr (Capt) - Elusive, hard running midfielder. Plays his best football at carnivals such as this, will lead from the front.
Kory Beard - Big key position player who can play all over the ground. SANFL experience
Derick Wanganeen - Experience playing at the top level, last years dual Best and Fairest of the Carnival. Reads the play well.
Jessie Stringer - Experienced at the highest level. Tough inside midfielder. Last years dual r/up best and fairest of the carnival.
Jess Kenny - Elusive midfielder with excellent skills. Former mail medal winner for Eastern Eyre.
Jonty Seal - Big strong marking forward. Will play a big role, should get good service from talented midfield.
Joel Fitzgerald (Capt) - Has done it all in country football. On track to kick another 100 goals this year. Strong Marking footballer with an accurate set shot.
Jack Kenny - Very similar player to his brother Jess. Will hopefully see the two brothers match up. Former Best and Fairest of the Carnival.
Sidney Masters - Tall key position player with excellent skills expected to play a large role at either end. Has been in excellent form for Ports.
Paul White - Experienced midfielder who loves these carnivals. Expected to lead from the front, always hard at the ball and excellent skills.
Johann Wagner - Hard running, quick forward with the ability to play up the ground. Always a hard player to match up on.
Luke Wilkins - Tough, no-nonsense midfielder/defender who had an excellent carnival in 2018.
Levi Konitzka - Last years best and fairest for the Carnival. Big strong ruckman who is very damaging all over the ground.
Xavier Watson - Experienced player, former best and fairest for the carnival. Damaging midfielder expected to play a huge role over the weekend.
Levi Brown - Tough in and under midfielder who has been in excellent form for Lock. Won the Great Flinders best u/21 as an 18 year old last year.
