The Wednesday (December 5th 2018) edition of the Advertiser contained a front page headline title "Lucky Country: bush councilors elected with handful of votes".
You didn't need to be a rocket scientist (also topical today) to realize the scribe, cadet journalist Caleb Bond, was inferring some smaller councils around the state should either be wound up or merged.
Kimba Mayor Dean Johnson certainly took it that way. and he unleashed a scathing reply to the story via his councils Facebook page.
I thought the Mayor's reply was worth a phone call and a chat.
Unsurprisingly, he wasn't finished there and had some facts and figures of his own to assist the L plated "Tiser" jurno for future research.
