Imagine earning $50,000 for just three minutes of work. Not bad, right?
Well, rapper Nelly has revealed the rather unusual story behind a surprise appearance with Taylor Swift, and it’s the way she handed over the cash that’s got everyone talking.
A Surprise Taylor Swift Invitation
Speaking on The Breakfast Club, Nelly recalled being contacted by Swift back in 2011 while he was in St Louis.
Taylor apparently wanted him to fly to Houston and make a surprise appearance during her Speak Now tour, after she and her friends had put together a dance routine to one of his biggest hits.
The offer? A private jet, accommodation and a cool $50,000 for the appearance.

The McDonald’s Bag Request
But Nelly had a cheeky request when it came to collecting his money.
He jokingly asked if Taylor could put the cash in a McDonald’s bag.
And believe it or not, she actually did!
Nelly recalled being handed the bag containing $50,000 in cash by Swift’s manager after the performance, which lasted around three minutes.

Even funnier, despite having a presidential suite waiting for him, Nelly and his family didn’t even bother checking into the hotel. They headed straight back to the airport.
And while $50,000 is certainly a nice payday, Nelly admitted he would have happily done the appearance for free.
