Reese Witherspoon and Amazon MGM Studios have unveiled plans for “Elle,” a prequel TV series to the popular “Legally Blonde” film franchise. Set to stream on Amazon Prime, the announcement was made by studio chief Jennifer Salke, accompanied by Witherspoon and the iconic Bruiser the dog, during Amazon’s inaugural upfront presentation.

Laura Kittrell, known for her work on “Insecure,” spearheads the series as creator and showrunner, also serving as an executive producer alongside Witherspoon, Lauren Neustadter, Lauren Kisilevsky, and Marc Platt. Witherspoon expressed her enthusiasm for the project, highlighting the opportunity for fans to witness Elle’s teenage journey, characterized by her unique personality and resourcefulness.
