Whyalla has strengthened its reputation as a regional leader after hosting this year’s Eyre Peninsula Local Government Association Conference.
More than 150 delegates attended the event, including representatives from regional councils across the Eyre Peninsula, along with State and Federal Government stakeholders and industry partners.
Mayor Phill Stone said the conference provided a valuable opportunity to showcase Whyalla’s projects, priorities and future direction, while strengthening key relationships across the region.
Alongside the strategic benefits, the event delivered a direct economic boost, with visitors supporting local accommodation, hospitality and retail businesses throughout their stay.
Council says feedback from delegates has been overwhelmingly positive, reinforcing Whyalla’s standing as a capable host for major regional events.
