Film to challenge the way locals view palliative care

A film-led social impact campaign will occur in Port Lincoln next week to challenge the way residents view the final chapter of life.

The campaign will advocate for and improve awareness of palliative care, and start important conversations about “living the life you please” until the very end.

Event organisers – the Rotary Club of Port Lincoln, the Eyre Peninsula Community Foundation and the Book Bazaar – say over 1 million Australians use aged care services, and more than 80,000 require palliative care every year, but many of us still lack understanding.

The free event is open to everyone at the Nautilus Art Centre next Wednesday, 27 September, at 4:30, and there’ll be a Q & A session with the Eyre and Far North Local Health Network Palliative Care Team.
